CT Buster's Golden Zapper is an "upgraded," improved version of the Basic Zapper, with 24 karat gold plated contacts and the new purple box. Gold is the most resilient metal to corrosion. The "Golden" Zapper copper discs are plated with 24 karat gold. They stay clean and stay "pretty" with little to no maintenance.

The single largest complaint zapper users have is the copper contacts, they become corroded and dirty. Copper still conducts electricity even while heavily corroded, but it looks dirty and unpleasant; copper is naturally anti-bacterial and great for zappers. The Golden Zapper is the Basic Zapper improved, with 24 karat gold plated contacts and the new purple box. Gold is the most resilient metal to corrosion. The "Golden" Zapper's copper discs are plated with 24 karat gold.

Care and cleaning: The "Golden Zapper" is supplied with a velveteen storage bag. This should be used when the zapper is not in use. Setting the zapper down onto the gold discs will cause wear to the gold that will lead to the underlying copper showing through. The copper discs have been given a very heavy coat of 24 karat gold, but abusing the unit will shorten it's life, so use the bag when you're not zapping. It's good to make a habit of setting the Golden Zapper down on it's back, with the gold contacts facing up. Do not use anything abrasive to clean the gold discs as this will damage them and void your warranty. You can clean the Golden Zapper with mild soap and water on a damp, soft cloth. Do not spray liquids onto the Zapper, apply it to the cleaning cloth.

The “Golden” Basic Zapper & the Basic Zapper have the same zapper-circuit as the Terminator Zapper. Although they do not contain the orgonite material and the rare earth magnet, like the Terminator, these smaller zappers are very effective and endorsed by Don Croft. The “Golden” Basic Zapper and the Basic Zapper are small and easy to use. They is are great "starter" zappers for those who just want to try before investing in the Terminator. These small zapper’s contacts are closer together than the Terminator Zapper, so it works great for small to medium sized cats and dogs when placed on the pads of their paws. Warranty: With proper care your Golden Zapper will be useful for many years. It is guaranteed for materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase, but not against breaking the switch or the battery connector, dunking in liquids, abrading the terminals & similar.
